I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you: Eye Emporium has officially welcomed Kite Eyewear into our family. Since Kite launched in 2014, I’ve been a huge fan of their "British eyewear, International attitude" approach. They brought something fresh to the industry that was both bold and accessible, showing us that eyewear could be expressive, high-quality, and beautifully designed, all at a price that felt attainable. Now, I’m incredibly excited to help bring that original spirit back to life.
One of the first things we’re doing is relaunching Kite at the £99 price point, a move that gets back to its roots of making high-quality, design-led eyewear accessible to more people. At Eye Emporium, we’re all about helping people find frames that feel like a natural extension of their style, and I know that affordability plays a huge part in that.
We’re also bringing back some of Kite’s most iconic frames: the Dean, Charlotte, Otto, and Alfa Petit. These frames became more than just glasses—they became statements, pieces that people genuinely connected with. I’ve heard from so many people who love these designs and miss them, so making them available again is something I’m really excited about. This feels like an opportunity to reconnect Kite with both its loyal community and with new customers who’ll discover its unique style for the first time.
Another exciting direction is our commitment to sustainability. We’re planning to incorporate more sustainable materials into Kite’s designs as part of our journey to becoming a B Corp in the coming year. Sustainability is at the core of our values, and we want Kite to reflect that as we build a responsible brand for the future.
If you’re a Kite customer or have design suggestions and feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at salim@eye-emporium.com. I’d love to hear from you! I couldn’t be more excited to share this next chapter with all of you.
